Know Us

NATUWA Wildlife Sanctuary in Costa Rica protects and cares for emblematic species such as sloths, jaguars, and tapirs, while leading for over two decades conservation programs for the great green macaw (Ara ambiguus) and the scarlet macaw (Ara macao), iconic birds of great ecological and cultural importance. The sanctuary offers environmental education tours that allow visitors and students to learn about the animals’ history, their role in ecosystems, and the actions taken to ensure their well-being.
